Welcome from Chris

Thanks for visiting St Luke’s Church web site. We are a lively and friendly Christian community in Lower Parkstone Poole, and would love to see you join us on Sundays and on other occasions. All are welcome. On Sundays we have a fairly traditional service at 9.00am with a more contemporary service at 10.30am with groups for around 40 children and a creche. There is a small evening service most weeks which usually takes place at 6.30pm.

During the week we have about 10 Connect groups meeting around the area, Morning Worship and Coffee Hour on Wednesdays, Families First, Oasis, Parents and Toddlers on Thursdays at 10am, a Youth Connect group and lots of other activities like fayres, hall events, pantomimes etc. We welcome enquiries for baptisms, weddings and funerals. Our church hall at 37 Birchwood Road is well used by the church and community and can be hired out for children’s parties etc.

We offer pastoral care, prayer and a listening ear to many. We also seek to serve the community through our involvement with many local projects such as Roots to Routes, The Food Bank, Hope in the Community and The Women’s Refuge. We also partner with eight missions around the world including members in Japan and Rwanda.

As a church we place a high priority on living out the faith and our values in the world in which we live. Our Purpose is summarised as being “a community of whole-life disciples of Jesus Christ committed to worship, growth, fellowship and mission.”

We would be delighted to see you and invite you to participate with us. Do get in touch. Thank you again.

Every blessing,

Chris Strain
Vicar
