Youth

We are delighted to have a large number of children and young people at St Luke’s.

Richard Garton, our Children’s & Youth Minister leads a team of volunteer leaders and helpers. Richard is married to Charmaine and they have one young child.

We are very conscious of the need to create a safe environment for our children and all leaders go through our Child Protection Procedure. The short version and full version of our policy are available.

At the 10.30am service (except All-Age and holidays) we have: Scramblers: age 3- Reception, Climber: School Years 1- School Years 3, Explorers :School Years 4- School Year 6 in the church rooms and Pathfinders School Years 7- School Years 9 meeting in the church hall most weeks. There is Crèche for the under 3s at all services.

Children usually start in church and leave for their own groups at about 10.50am returning at the end of the service.

The Youth Club on Friday evenings is held at the Church Hall, Birchwood Road 7.30-9pm.
